Auto Squad

Services Provided

The Auto Squad is an investigative unit formed in response to the growing problem of auto related crimes. Members of the squad have special training and experience in automobile related crime investigation and maintain regular contact with the National Automobile Theft Bureau and other relevant agencies. They are available to provide assistance in all matters related to automobile crimes including:

	Identification of vehicles (VIN number location, confidential VIN identification, engine and numbered parts identification.)
	Auto theft investigation involving more than one vehicle.
	Identifying and investigating chop-shop activity.
	Auto-theft fraud investigations.
	Access to county-wide data.
	Public information relating to automobile crime.
